Giving Thanks to Those That Matter Most

As Thanksgiving steadily approaches, it hit me that we often lose sight of what Thanksgiving is all about, focusing too much on football and feasts. In reality, we should be thanking those who truly matter the most, whether it be through their inspiration, support or love.

At Sound Business Services (SBS), that means first thanking you – our customers. The trust and responsibility you’ve bestowed upon us to handle your most sensitive information, and get you the solutions you need when you need them, is not only an honor, but also a blessing that keeps SBS running.

Our greatest joy comes from seeing you succeed, and helping you reach all your goals and dreams. We see the passion you have for your businesses, the hunger to continually get better and the desire to grow like never before.

It’s that kind of inspiring interaction and admiration that drives us to continue to work harder, and get you the results and solutions you need to keep thriving. With that in mind, there are a few others I must thank. Here are some more of those that matter most to me.

My Staff

I have a special place in my heart for my staff. For any business to succeed, you need a team who is willing to go above and beyond to carry out your message, truly care about the clients and do whatever it takes to get the job done.

I discovered long ago that I could not do this alone, and I certainly could not be everyone at once. That meant finding staff that not only did the right thing every time by our clients, but was also capable of finding solutions and treating our customers with respect and integrity.

More than a decade later, I can truly say I have the best staff I could ever hope for. Their loyalty to our company and our mission is so humbling, and really a big reason why we are where we are today. Through all the hard work, the challenges and the triumphs, I am honored to have formed friendships with much of my staff. That isn’t always attainable in every business, and something I don’t take for granted.

My Family

As some of you may know, I have four young children and an amazing wife who support me no matter what is going on – each one brings such joy and completion to my life. No matter what life throws our way, we always have our family, and I’m so grateful for that.

That’s why work/life balance is so important. It’s seeing your child grow up, attending your kids’ little league games or enjoying that family vacation. Those are the moments and memories that we cherish, and that should inspire all of us to keep working harder for our clients to make all of our lives better.

My Faith

I’m sure you’ve heard me say it, but without Jesus Christ, I don’t know where I would be personally, in my family or in my business. I am so thankful to Him and His sacrifice on the cross for my sins. I am thankful for the strength and wisdom He gives me every day and the assurance that one day I will be with Him for all eternity.
